The PCAHA Female Hockey Committee is excited to announce Female AA Hockey is returning for the 2026 – 2027 season.
PCAHA, in collaboration with minor hockey associations, is thrilled to provide competitive U15 athletes with a high-performance hockey experience to grow and develop within a sanctioned hockey environment.
We are also running 2 U13 and 2 U18 Female District Development teams this season to provide additional develoment and an away tournament for high performance players.
Foster growth and development of female hockey, allowing players to remain within Hockey Canada and BC Hockey-sanctioned programming.

Season Overview & Program Breakdown

- Program Schedule that runs from late August 2026 to Spring Break 2027
- 24-30 Game Regular Season (Played locally) with games on weekends and practices during the week.
- 2-3 On-ice practices per week
- Integration of “Bye-Weeks” to season schedule to promote multi-sport athletes
- 2 Out-of-Town Tournaments and 1 Showcase Weekend
- 1 Dryland/Off-Ice Training per Week

FAQ's
What is the Pacific Coast Elite Hockey League (PCEHL)?
The PCEHL is a newly formed sanctioned hockey league for high performance hockey living in boundaries of the PCAHA (Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association) member association (https://pcaha.ca/member-associations/). The female league will host 3 zone teams at U15 to provide female athletes a AA league more in line with the U18AAA structure (Fraser Valley Rush, Greater Vancouver Comets). Two additional teams, Delta Hockey Academy U15 and Western Washington U15 will play, creating a 5 team league.
Does this program replace A (rep) teams within Minor Hockey Associations
No, there will still be A hockey within minor hockey associations. Your local association will determine, as they do each year, which teams they will host for the 2025/26 season
Is there AP (affiliate player) opportunity within Female AA for those players that do not make a team?
Yes, each of the teams will AP players
Are Female AA players eligible to AP with the U18AAA teams (Fraser Valley Rush, Greater Vancouver Comets)?
Yes, if a U18AAA team invites a player, they are eligible to affiliate
Do players have to be registered in a minor hockey association (integrated or female) to try out?
No, we are accepting all players regardless of where you played hockey during the 2024/25 season
Will this program be accepting underage players?
No, we will not be accepting underage players in our inaugural season
